The Pacific Energy Center (PEC) hosts the classroom portion of the San Francisco Sustainable Building Advisor Program. The PEC is a training facility that offers educational programs, design tools, advice and support to create energy efficient buildings and comfortable indoor environments. Incorporated into the SBA program curriculum are the resources available at the facility, such as the lighting lab, demonstration exhibits, interactive exercises and expert instructors. Also included in the program are field trips to exemplary sustainable and green building projects throughout the Bay Area.

FIELD TRIPS AND TOURS
Site visits to local sustainable and green building projects is an integral part of the SBA Program. Throughout the course there are 5 field trip days where you are guided through a variety of buildings led by the professionals involved with the projects. SBA HAS GONE INTERNATIONAL
The SBA Program is an international certification course that is offered in numerous locations throughout North America and has been running for over 10 years. The Program in San Francisco is offered by Lifelong Education Institute and Unified Systems.
