Continuing Education Credits

Earn 100 American Institute of Architecture (AIA) Learning Units by participating in the SBA Program. LEED APs & LEED GAs may also earn up to 100 continuing education units through this USGBC approved Mastery Level Education Provider Program.

Schedule

The SBA Program in San Francisco is offered in nine-month and four-month formats.  To accommodate busy professionals, the nine-month program meets only two days per month (Friday and Saturday).  The four-month format is designed for professionals with more time to engage in the curriculum and meets every two weeks (Friday and Saturday).  Friday classes in both formats are generally 9AM-5PM and Saturday classes are 9AM-3PM.

Sustainable Building Advisor Program Location

The Pacific Energy Center (PEC) hosts the classroom portion of the San Francisco Sustainable Building Advisor Program. The PEC is a training facility that offers educational programs, design tools, advice and support to create energy efficient buildings and comfortable indoor environments. Incorporated into the SBA program curriculum are the resources available at the facility, such as the lighting lab, demonstration exhibits, interactive exercises and expert instructors. Also included in the program are field trips to exemplary sustainable building projects throughout the Bay Area.
